fantastic dog-friendly stay
friendly staff local ingredients
the location near wensleydale provides a peaceful experience away from crowded areas i appreciated having a dedicated entrance to my room. the pub welcomes dogs and the food features locally sourced ingredients which is a plus. staff were friendly making my stay even better

charming stay
warm welcome comfortable room lovely packed lunch
I received a warm welcome to a comfortable room. The room included an ensuite bathroom, one of two available with dogs. I needed an early departure, so the staff provided a lovely packed lunch in place of breakfast. It was a thoughtful gesture and i did appreciate it.
The evening meal was slightly disappointing.

The accommodation sits in a village. The village is gorgeous with nice walks. It also features a village green. The area provides really good countryside views for visitors.

The food tasted good and had a fair price. Breakfast was beautifully cooked, and the bar had a good choice of alcohol. There were good options for kids at lunch.

strong torch packed lunch
the pub provided a strong torch during a power cut in the village it located the cause quickly. i received a packed lunch instead of breakfast because i left early the next day this was great.
the shower pressure fluctuated frequently it did not work properly.
